This blog is meant to be a catalog of my activities related to the Rhode Island School of Design course entitled Design for Social Entrepreneurship. This is an industrial design studio that takes place during the Spring semester of 2013.
Patricia Gruits is the professor for this studio. Patricia is a freelance / contract designer, trained architect, and industrial design professor. One of her main ongoing projects is the Portable Light Project, an internationally active project that aims to provide light to areas without access to electricity via collaboratively designed portable flexible solar panel LED light packs.
This blog will likely continue beyond the course duration as a log of my activities as a masters student in industrial design… with a special interest in social entrepreneurship and design for the greater good.
